Searching for the boots....
My parents gave me these Frye boots for Christmas. The only catch was I had to order them and make sure they got delivered to me before I came back to Argentina. Let’s just say there was a slight mix up with Nordstrom’s and I had to jump through a few hoops to get these boots to me. Picture hailing down multiple UPS trucks in a blizzard in Boston on New Year’s Eve and eventually having to drive to the customer care center to pick them up because I HAD to have them.
Just an FYI, when you call the 1-800 number for UPS they tell you the customer care center is “not set up” to accept inbound calls. FALSE. You have to hail down a local truck and the beg for the local number. Thanks to one very determined friend, we finally got the number and got in touch with someone. You should have seen the look of embarassment on my face when the UPS people asked me what the package that I could not live without contained… In all fairness, the boots would have never made it to Argentina because, well, things just don’t make it down here when they are shipped.
And guess what? I have only worn these boots for 5 minutes in the bar after I picked them up from UPS. It’s summer here and waaaay to hot to even put these puppies on my feet. And it makes me a little sad. I know I know, I shouldn’t be complaining about it being so hot when it won’t stop snowing in the U.S. but I can’t help it. Fall is only a few short months away and you better believe I will be rocking those boots all.the.time.
